All-New 2018 Harley Davidson Sport Glide Is The Best of Two Worlds!
Harley-Davidson Motor Company launched the newest Softail in its line up: the All-New 2018 Harley Davidson Sport Glide. It’s a cross between a mini-Street Glide and Softail Breakout and it is easy to transform your ride.
Harley-Davidson started an initiative last year to create 100 new models and 2 million new riders in 10 years. In order to do this, they have been asking riders what they want. Versatility is what the biggest suggestion, and this model fits what riders have been asking for.
Harley-Davidson brought itself up to date with the new suspension because of:
- it’s mono shock suspension
- standard LED headlights
- a lighter frame.
2009 was the last model year to see a frame change and that was just in the touring family.
This new motorcycle gives the consumer the best of both worlds, an agile around-the-town cruiser, and a bike that is ready to go the distance with a few simple adjustments to it’s accessories. Storage is great for most motorcycles, but it is not always needed, especially for short trips. This is why the Sport Glide is special. The Sport Glide offers detachable hard saddlebags that can be added to (and removed from) the motorcycle with a quick click. The same goes for the mini fairing that blocks some of the wind and weather a rider can endure on the highway.
The 2018 Harley Davidson Sport Glide comes in three colors: Vivid Black, Twisted Cherry, and Silver Fortune. Though I’ve only had the pleasure to see this bike in Vivid Black, I’m putting my money on Twisted Cherry when it comes to popularity among enthusiasts. Pair that up with several Genuine Motor Parts & Accessories developed specifically for the Sport Glide, and you have a winner with a new 5.5″ Light Smoke Windshield, a HoldFast Sissy Bar Upright with Passenger Backrest Pad and Transparent Paint Guards for the fairing and saddlebags.
This motorcycle is on the floor now at Hot Metal Harley-Davidson. Take it for a test ride and see why Harley-Davidson hit a home run with this new model.
